The TeoEco2 series is our answer to the growing demands of modern power engineering. In designing these transformers we focused on three pillars: fire safety, compliance with the strict EcoDesign directive and maintenance-free operation. Once installed, these units simply work, without generating additional upkeep costs.

Technology that takes care of safety Unlike traditional oil-filled solutions, our transformers use epoxy-resin insulation reinforced with quartz powder and aluminium hydroxide. This mix guarantees not only excellent dielectric strength but above all fire resistance. The transformer is self-extinguishing (class F1), which makes it the ideal choice for installation inside buildings – hospitals, shopping centres, office buildings or industrial plants where the fire risk must be reduced to zero.

Economical operation in line with EcoDesign Every transformer of the TeoEco2 series, whether a 100 kVA or a 3150 kVA unit, meets EcoDesign Tier 2. High-quality magnetic cores and aluminium windings allowed us to drastically reduce no-load and load losses. For the investor this means lower energy bills and a faster return on investment; for the environment – a smaller carbon footprint.

Flexible configuration We know that every project is different. As standard our units operate with natural cooling (AN) up to an ambient temperature of 40 °C, but for more demanding sites we fit a forced-ventilation system (AF), which allows the unit to be safely overloaded at demand peaks. We also adapt enclosures – from the standard IP00 indoor design to sealed IP44 enclosures for harsher environmental conditions (climatic class C3, environmental class E3).

Key parameters at a glance:

• Rating and voltage: 100 kVA to 3150 kVA as standard for HV of 10 kV, 15.75 kV, 20 kV and 21 kV (higher ratings and other voltages up to 36 kV on request). Impedance voltage 6%.

• Insulation: class F (up to 155 °C) for both windings, resistant to humidity and pollution.

• Protection: PTC or PT100 temperature sensors fitted as standard; together with a relay they protect the unit against overheating.

• Ready to operate: the units are resistant to shock and vibration and, thanks to their compact design, easy to integrate in container substations or tight technical rooms.
